I was born on the 3rd of April 1986 in Belgrade, where I finished
elementary school. In eight grade I took part in the Republic contest
for art photography on the level of elementary schools in whole of
Serbia. I took first place with a series of black and white photographs.
During that period, I took part in many fine art shows in various
galleries like National museum, DP Djuro Salaj, Gallery Crnjanski,
Gallery 54 etc.
After
finishing elementary school, I attended Belgrade high school for fashion
design, as part of a first generation of students. In the spring of
2001, I had my first fashion show under the name Creation of a New World
(Children for children). The show was a fundraiser and all the proceeds
were given to the Children Hospital. In the following years I started
working on fashion photography. This became my main point of interest
and soon after I was hooked on it. I took part in several Belgrade
fashion fairs with my school, where my photographs were very noticeable.
After graduating high school, I started attending the school of art and
design at Megatrend University. In April of 2007 I won the award for the
best short digital form at B-LINK (Belgrade Festival of New
Communication) with a colleague Sara Radonja.
In recent years I took on a more active role in working with various
fashion magazines, such as Serbian Elle, Faar, Cosmopolitan,L`Officiel,
Grazia, Men's health, Gala style and Story. I also worked with numerous
fashion designers such as Dragana Ognjenović, Bata Spasojević, Ana
Šekularac, Dejan Despotović, Dejana Momčilović, Tamara Radivojević,
Marko Mitanovski, musicians - Ana Stanić, E-Play, Jelena Tomašević,
Aleksandra Radović and izraelian superstar Boaz Mauda, actors, and other
interesting people. I also worked on many fashion catalogues and
campaigns. Another one of my recent and interesting engagements was the
music video filmed in Chicago for a song titled Twisted by Filip Marian.
Photography is giving me the complete freedom to fully express my
thoughts and feelings. It’s obvious that limits inside of you are hard
to cross, but not impossible if you really want something. I think it’s
worth spending life chasing the beauty between our thoughts and heart
and photography is one of my ways to achieve this.
